Plan a connected paper design

Sketch a simple shape before reaching for scissors. Shade the areas you intend to remove and check that the remaining parts connect. Thin bridges can tear easily, so leave generous connections in a first design.

Try the pattern on spare paper before using a special sheet. Folded designs repeat every cut, which can produce unexpected gaps. Open the test slowly and adjust the drawing rather than forcing a fragile connection.
